What the articles are

PLBE articles explain Lithuanian language, history, traditions and practical matters for a general audience. They are written carefully from public sources, but they are general information. They are not legal, immigration, tax or financial advice, and they cannot tell you whether your own citizenship application, inheritance or document will be accepted. Rules, fees and processing times change; check the current version with the embassy, the Migration Department or the office concerned, and ask a qualified adviser about your own case.

The name and the address

PLBE is a separate publication. It is not the World Lithuanian Community, a national Lithuanian community or a government body, and it does not speak for any of them, even though plbe.org was once that community's web address. The about page explains more.

Links and partner boxes

Articles link to other websites where that helps the reader. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. Some pages carry marked partner boxes; if you sign up or buy through one, PLBE may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Your contract is with that partner, under its terms.

The text and images on PLBE belong to PLBE unless marked otherwise. You may quote a short passage with a link back. Please ask before republishing a whole article or an image.

Liability

We try hard to be accurate, but we cannot promise that every article is complete or up to date. To the extent the law allows, PLBE is not liable for loss that comes from relying on the site.
